Privacy Policy
Effective 2 November 2026 · Last updated 2 November 2026
Relic has no accounts and no servers. It reads the bank alerts and receipts in your Gmail on your iPhone, and what it finds stays on your iPhone.
We never receive your emails, your transactions or your Gmail address. We have no way to read them.
No ads. No tracking. Nothing sold to anyone.
Who we are
Relic is published by Stackr Labs Incorporated (“we”, “us”), registered at 251 Little Falls Drive, Wilmington, Delaware 19808. We also make Uncle Rudy. This policy covers the Relic iOS app and this website, relicmoney.app.

What Relic reads from your Gmail
- To connect Gmail, you sign in with Google on Google’s own sign-in screen. Relic never sees your Google password. Google shows you what Relic is asking for before you agree.
- Relic asks for one permission: read-only access to Gmail (the
gmail.readonlyscope). - Relic searches Gmail only for mail from the banks and cards you choose to track. Google runs that search on its side, so the rest of your inbox is never downloaded to your iPhone.
- For each search result, Relic first reads only the sender and the subject. It downloads the message only when both match a known bank or card alert, receipt or statement.
- From each message it downloads, Relic keeps the sender, the subject, the date and at most the first 1,500 characters of text. It never downloads attachments.
- Because access is read-only, Relic can’t send, delete, label, archive or change anything in your Gmail.
How Relic uses it
- Relic reads each saved email on your iPhone to find the amount, the account, who was paid and a category. It uses its own rules first, then Apple Intelligence’s on-device model where your iPhone supports it.
- Email text is not sent to us, to Apple’s Private Cloud Compute, or to any other server.
- When Relic isn’t sure about a payment, it asks you. Your answer is remembered on your iPhone, so the next payment to the same person is filed the same way.
- Ask answers your questions from your recorded transactions, on your iPhone.
- Relic checks for new bank mail when you open it and, when iOS allows, in the background.
What stays on your iPhone
| What | Why |
|---|---|
| Bank and card emails Relic downloaded: sender, subject, date and up to 1,500 characters of text | So Relic can read them, and so each transaction can show where it came from |
| Transactions, categories, your edits and your review answers | Your ledger, and the way you taught Relic to file future payments |
| Spending summaries | The Home screen, widgets and Ask |
| The address of the Gmail account you connected | To show which account is connected |
| Your settings and a log of background runs | So the app works the way you set it up |
| Your Google sign-in token | To fetch new mail. Kept in the iOS Keychain, on this iPhone only, and never included in backups |
Relic has no cloud sync. We don’t run servers that receive any of this. We can’t access it, and we can’t recover it if it’s lost.
While Relic is reading an email, it keeps a working copy of that email’s text so the work can continue if iOS pauses the app. The copy is deleted as soon as the reading finishes.
Apple may include Relic’s data, apart from the sign-in token, in your iCloud or computer backup, depending on your backup settings. We don’t control, verify or guarantee those backups.
Who Relic connects to
The app connects to Google only: accounts.google.com and oauth2.googleapis.com to sign you in, and gmail.googleapis.com to fetch mail. All connections use HTTPS. Relic contains no analytics, advertising or crash-reporting code from anyone else.
Google user data
Relic’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Read the Google API Services User Data Policy
In practice, that means:
- Relic uses Gmail data only to provide the features you see in the app: turning bank and card emails into transactions, categories, summaries and answers.
- Gmail data stays on your iPhone. We don’t transfer it to anyone, and that includes us.
- We don’t use Gmail data for advertising, and we don’t sell it.
- No person reads your Gmail data. We have no way to.
- We don’t use Gmail data to develop, improve or train AI or machine-learning models. Your review answers are used only on your iPhone, to file your own future payments.
Lock Screen, widgets and exports
- While Relic reads mail, a Live Activity on your Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island shows its progress, amounts and who was paid. Widgets show your spending on the Home Screen. Both use data already on your iPhone and send nothing anywhere.
- Anyone who can see your Lock Screen can see a Live Activity. You can turn off Live Activities for Relic in the iOS Settings app.
- If you use Export remembered decisions, Relic creates a file and hands it to Apple’s share sheet. The file goes only where you choose to send it.
Crash reports
We use Apple’s opt-in crash reporting. If you have chosen to share with app developers, we may receive your device model, iOS version, when a crash happened, and the diagnostic detail Apple makes available. You can turn this off in Settings ▸ Privacy & Security ▸ Analytics & Improvements.
This website
relicmoney.app is hosted by Vercel and loads fonts from Google Fonts. Like any web server, they receive basic technical information, such as your IP address and browser type, to deliver the page. The site sets no cookies and uses no analytics or tracking.
Age
Relic is intended for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor is using the app, please contact us and we will address it.
Your choices and rights
Stop new mail
In Relic, go to Settings ▸ Gmail ▸ Disconnect Gmail. This deletes the sign-in token from your iPhone, and new mail stops arriving. Mail already imported stays until you delete it.
Remove Relic’s access at Google
In your Google Account, open Your connections to third-party apps & services and remove Relic. Google then refuses any further request from Relic.
Delete your data
In Relic, Settings ▸ Delete all data removes every email, transaction, summary and remembered decision from your iPhone. Deleting the app also removes Relic’s data from your iPhone. To end Gmail access too, disconnect Gmail before you delete the app, or remove Relic in your Google Account.
Your legal rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, the GDPR, the UK GDPR, or the CCPA/CPRA, including rights of access, correction, deletion and objection. Because we don’t hold your Relic data, you can use these rights directly on your iPhone with the controls above. For anything else, write to us.
We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of.
Retention
Relic’s data stays on your iPhone for as long as you keep it there. Working copies of email text are deleted when each reading finishes. Crash reports are kept by Apple under Apple’s policies.
Security
Your Google sign-in token is stored in the iOS Keychain. Relic’s other data is kept in the app’s private storage, protected by iOS Data Protection. Relic talks to Google only over HTTPS.
Changes
We may update this policy. We will change the date at the top, and where a change materially affects your rights we will give reasonable notice in the app. Changes apply from their stated effective date. If Relic ever changes how it handles Gmail data, we will update this policy before the change ships.
