Terms of Service
Effective 2 November 2026 · Last updated 2 November 2026
Relic reads your bank emails and organizes them for you. It keeps a record. It is not a bank, and it is not financial advice. Check anything important against your bank statement.
Your data lives on your iPhone. Relic has no cloud sync, so we can’t recover it for you.
Relic is free while it’s in beta.
The agreement
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) form an agreement between you and Stackr Labs Incorporated (“we”, “us”), registered at 251 Little Falls Drive, Wilmington, Delaware 19808, email support@unclerudy.app. They cover the Relic iOS app (“Relic” or “the app”) and the website relicmoney.app.
By downloading or using Relic, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
Relic is intended for people aged 18 and over.
How Relic handles your data is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
1Licence
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use Relic on Apple-branded products that you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions. Where Apple’s Usage Rules allow, this includes access by other accounts associated with you through Family Sharing or volume purchasing.
You may not copy, distribute, sell, rent, sublicense, reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the app, or try to derive its source code, except where applicable law expressly allows it regardless of this restriction, and except as allowed by the licences of any open-source components in the app. Those licences continue to apply on their own terms.
All intellectual property in Relic, including its name, icon, design, copy and software, remains ours.
2Connecting Gmail
- To read your bank emails, Relic asks for read-only access to a Gmail account. Only connect an account that you own or are allowed to use.
- Your Google account is governed by Google’s own terms. Google decides whether Relic can access Gmail, and it may limit, pause or end that access, for example while Relic is going through Google’s verification. When that happens, Relic may ask you to sign in again or stop fetching new mail.
- You can disconnect Gmail at any time in Relic’s Settings, or remove Relic from your Google Account. The Privacy Policy explains what happens to your data when you do.
3Not financial advice
Relic reads emails automatically, using its own rules and Apple Intelligence where available. It can make mistakes. It might misread an amount, miss an email your bank sent, file a payment in the wrong category, or count a payment twice. Answers in Ask and the spending summaries are generated automatically and can be wrong too.
Relic is a personal record-keeping tool. It is not a bank statement, an accounting or tax record, or financial, investment, tax or legal advice. Relic does not connect to your bank, and it cannot move money or make payments. Before you rely on a figure for anything important, check it against your bank’s own records.
4Your data
Relic stores the emails it downloads, the transactions it finds and your answers in the app’s storage on your iPhone. Relic does not provide cloud sync, and we cannot access or restore that data.
Apple may include some app data in an iCloud or computer backup, depending on your device and backup settings, but we do not control, verify or guarantee those backups. Please keep your own record of anything you cannot afford to lose.
5Price
Relic is free while it is in beta. If we add paid features later, the price will be shown on the purchase screen before you confirm, Apple will process the payment, and refunds will follow Apple’s policies and your rights under applicable law. We will update these Terms before any paid feature is offered.
6Beta
Relic is currently in beta and is distributed through Apple’s TestFlight. Beta versions may have bugs, may change or lose features, and may stop working when a beta build expires. Apple’s TestFlight terms also apply while you use a beta.
7Acceptable use
You agree not to use Relic for any unlawful purpose, to interfere with or disrupt it, to use it to access an email account you are not allowed to access, or to use it in a way that infringes anyone else’s rights.
You also agree to follow any third-party terms that apply when you use the app, including the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions, Google’s terms for your Google account, and your wireless carrier’s terms.
8Other companies
Relic works with services run by Apple and Google, and reads emails sent by banks and card issuers. We are not responsible for those services, and they may change or stop working. Relic is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Google or by any bank or card issuer. Their names and logos belong to their owners and appear in Relic only to identify where an email came from.
9Changes to the app and these Terms
We may update, change or discontinue the app or any part of it.
We may also update these Terms. We will update the date at the top and give reasonable notice in the app where a change materially affects your rights or a paid feature. Changes apply from their stated effective date, except where an immediate change is required by law, for security, or by an App Store requirement. Nothing here waives statutory rights you cannot waive.
The app needs a minimum iOS version and certain device capabilities. Some features need Apple Intelligence. These requirements are listed on the app’s App Store page.
10Termination
Your licence ends if you stop using the app or delete it, or if you materially breach these Terms, subject to applicable law.
Discontinuing the app or ending your licence does not remove any remedy or paid right that applicable law preserves for you.
11Warranty
The app is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free, that it will find every transaction, or that the amounts, categories and summaries it shows will be accurate or complete.
Nothing in this section excludes or limits any warranty, guarantee or consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 in India, or equivalent law where you live.
12Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, punitive or consequential damages, for loss of data or profits, or for any financial decision you make based on figures shown in the app.
Where our liability may lawfully be limited, our total liability to you for all claims relating to the app is limited to the greater of (a) the total amount you paid for the app and its in-app purchases in the 12 months before the claim, and (b) US$100.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, wilful misconduct, gross negligence, death or personal injury caused by negligence, breach of our data protection obligations, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including statutory consumer remedies.
13Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts of India have non-exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these Terms or the app.
This does not affect any mandatory consumer protection rights, or any right to bring a claim in your country of residence, that you have under the law where you live.
